Party Later!
Your milestone birthday is approaching fast and your parent’s Golden Anniversary is an occasion that needs to be celebrated. How about your best friend since childhood is getting married or having a baby and you need to host a baby shower to remember.
During these uncertain times, looking forward to celebrating happy times may be the key to help you get through these long, isolated days. Even if you have to celebrate weeks or months after the actual date. The important thing is that you will celebrate in the future.
Planning
With so many people finding a lot more time on their hands than normal, why not take advantage of this time and get the planning underway. Use your imagination (and a lot of time scrolling the internet) to plan the blow out get together that you or your loved one deserves. If you have ever planned an event, large or small, you know it takes time to fine tune all the details. There’s no time like the present.
The Basics
Begin with the basics…what is the theme of your event? Whether it is a nautical themed baby shower or a glittering golden anniversary. Or even a 40th birthday party that will bring friends and family from near and far, the possibilities are endless. Create a realistic budget, get ideas for the venue, choose a color scheme and the type of food and beverages you want to serve and let the ideas flow from there.
Try DIY
With the simple act of typing some key words into your phone or computer, prepare to be amazed at all the fun and entertaining ideas that are at your fingertips. If you are going DIY, maybe you can start some of the time consuming decorating projects. Find the perfect recipes and start experimenting in your kitchen. If you are planning an event where someone else will do the decorating and catering, a list of all your ideas will help them create the perfect ambiance and menu for your special event.
Even if you don’t know when your event is going to be able to happen, now is a great time to start organizing all your thoughts and ideas to create the perfect party in the near future.
Happy planning!
